The greatest miracle is not raising the dead, but rather, it is feeding the hungry!
Food justice is an important part of community justice. We take donations from local businesses and use them to fight hunger. Help us connect with donors and with people in need.
We provide essentials like food, clothing and shoes, diapers and toiletries, and many times a nice hot meal, we help take some of the burdens off so that you can use your income to pay your utility bills, rent, buy food, or gas.
You don’t need to prove who you are or where you live. no questions and no scrutiny – only the support of people who care is found here.
Our mission is very simple. We feed folks!
Hungry?.
We are Orthodox Workers. Most are dependencies of the Monastery of the Holy Martyrs. We were the homeless and the near homeless. We also help individuals and groups advocate for themselves.
A greater number of homeless and almost homeless people live on the streets. These people can be unemployed, unemployed or underemployed workers, battered women, the untreated mentally ill, or simply those too poor to survive. They tend to be "invisible" to the rest of society, but they are a real presence of Christ, the Suffering Servant.
We serve all who Christ brings to our doors or who He takes us to on the streets. All set at Christ's table, Christians, Jews, Muslims, Atheists, and folks of no faith. And we serve all. All are welcome.
Our community is full of people who want to help. We work to help the people providing services to the people who need them. Come connect with people in new ways.
The Center offers a place of community for the elderly, the lonely, and the weary, a place of respite for those without homes, and a warm and welcoming place for anyone regardless of their circumstances. A place for all our neighbors and all are our neighbors.
